Miami: Sightseeing Speedboat Tour

Miami: Sightseeing Speedboat Tour is operated by Thriller Miami Speedboat Adventures, departing from Bayside Marketplace in Downtown Miami. The 45-minute public tour combines waterfront sightseeing with fast stretches aboard a speedboat, taking in the Miami skyline and the island neighborhoods between the city and Miami Beach.

The advertised route includes Star Island’s waterfront homes, Fisher Island, and an offshore perspective of South Beach’s Art Deco district. Commentary introduces sights along the way, while the captain adjusts the ride to sea conditions. Reaching the Atlantic Ocean and traveling at speeds up to 40 mph are weather-dependent parts of the experience.

What Visitors Love

• Speed with scenery: Multiple reviewers appreciate the combination of fast boating and opportunities to see waterfront mansions and the skyline within one short outing.
• Entertaining crew: Visitors repeatedly describe the hosts as funny and engaging, adding personality to the sightseeing commentary and keeping the ride lively.

What to Consider

• Participation requirements: Children must be at least three years old and 36 inches tall, and the operator excludes pregnant passengers and people with serious medical conditions.
• Spray and boarding: You may get wet, particularly toward the back, and must complete an online waiver and check in 30 minutes before departure.

If you want your sightseeing to include some excitement, this is an appealing fit for a day around Downtown Miami. The offshore section is the feature I’d weigh most heavily: it offers a different view of South Beach, but sea conditions determine whether that part of the route is possible.
